The Lake Placid / North Elba Development Commission is pleased to announce the “Guide to 8 Selected Trails in North Elba” is now available to the public. It can be downloaded from the Commission’s website, futurelakeplacid.com under the “Resources” section. A printed copy is also on exhibit at the Lake Placid Visitor’s Information Center.
The Guide is the result of a collaborative effort involving graduate students of the Cornell Institute of Public Affairs, the Development Commission, and stakeholders from various trail networks. It highlights walks, cross-country skis, and snow shoeing opportunities that are accessible to most people, provide natural vistas, and exist entirely within the Town of North Elba.
